Linux Recovery took 6hrs to scan a 750GB HDD (which had a partition formatted by an errant D-Link DNS-323 which formatted the wrong HDD.. a long unfixed firmware bug). It found 1000's of files, and then took a very long time to recover a few small JPG/png files only.Diskinternals Linux Recovery is close to useless.Give this one a miss.

Your software does not work properly I used your software. But it can't recover anything.simply showing folder name and file name. byts are 0 showing.

Recovering only pictures Hi,I downloaded this util in the hope to recover my data. Unfortunally this program can only recover pictures! I was hoping for recovering all data with no exceptions. If it can do that then is worth for paying some amount for it.With kind Regards,R. Kwakman

recovery of 700GB I used your product to recover 700GB of a EXT partition that was formated by mistake. After spending 8 hours on the scan, I tried to recover the data to a network share.disk internals crashed. It would be nice to have a feature to save the scan information as I now have to wait another 8 hours for the scan to complete.

Demo version 1 - had problems downloading the software2 - eventually downloaded and successfully installed3 - demo version did not help my problem, I accidentally removed partition on my hard drive, software was not able to recover or indicate possible recoveryVK.

not ideal did not recognize the folders and recuperated only a few types of files, which were useless!

Failed to recover EXT3 after reformat. I purchased both the windows and Linux versions of Linux Data Recovery and neither performed as claimed. They could not recover an EXT3 partition which had been reformatted.I spent just under $100.00 for the two versions and neither worked, not even one byte was recovered. Very disappointing indeed.

The comment from a linux user. I am a Linux user and I destroyed all my data while installing the gentoo linux, which I am not familiar with. I know your software in google and the introducing word is really appealing. But I am sorry to see the result that it fail to recover any my data. I ran it in Windows and were disappointed with the result that it find "lost+found" folder only... Is that a joke?

Does not work on linux I tried the linux version of the linux recovery software. There was an error dealing with the Qt threads that caused the program to hang. Would have been very helpful had it worked

Very Good Software Very good recovery software does exactly what it says on the box

Many thanks to make us available this fantastic tool for free. I used this after an unbrick procedure for a ST3500320AS Seagate hard disk (SD15 firmware fails and disk become inaccessible, unbrick procedure is described elsewhere) . Partitions were EXT3 formatted and I could access all the data and make backup from my desktop XP sp3 PC.The tool is clear, transparent interface and really high speed recovering files and directories.I recommend this tool. Thanks Ni

My NAS suddenly wouldn\'t allow the drives to be accessed. When I attemped to administer the NAS it wanted to \"FORMAT\" the drives ... no way.I removed the HDDs and placed them in a USB cradle and they registed, phew. But, they weren\'t Windows format ...This software allowed the Linux Native volume\'s to be read from a Win XP environment. The process of \"copying\" (it may be doing more for recovery) the files out is labourious (almost 2TB across both drives), but at least I am able to do so.

I was able to download the Linux Reader in order to snag some files off of a non working linux partition. I had run an update and temporarily lost the use of my Linux OS. I needed some files in a pinch. I\'ve save many Windows partitions with live Linux tools. This time it was the other way around.

Seems like a good product, it does what it is suppose to do. I believe that linux has far better support for reading differnt partion types.

Wonderful utility, it let me recover my files from a failed ext2 drive using Windows, and it managed to recover everything when a $40 program wouldn't.

Hi, very effective application. I ,ve eached my ext3 linux volumes just like 1 click. Thanks

Works great. Can now open *.cmd files even though .cmd is still associated with Chem Draw on this computer.

Unable to download because of getting shunted to another window which seems irrelevant

I downloaded help explorer as I'm testing Windows 7, which will NOT allow the use of older help files... I was hoping help explorer would. It does let me see some of the help files but not quite the same as they are in Windows xp. I'm still looking for an aftermarket viewer that will simply run old help files on Windows 7

I think what happened is I selected "review", then discovered I had to register (?) before I could download, and did not want to register. I found another freebie that served my needs.Thank you.

I did not actually review the product - I thought I was going to need it but found my problem with viewing CHM files was a security issue in XP which I have resolved. Thanks and good luck!

Sorry, I was not able to download&try it, got a 404 error.

Didn`t work for me Unfortunately, Windows CHM reader doesn't work on my system after installing IE8 (the same for my work colleagues). This application must use the same method of rendering, because it is also effected with the same problem (no pages render). The only solution was to get a Firefox plugin, and that worked great.

Did not work. Sorry, but on choosing open in the menu, nothing happens. So I deinstalled the software.

First use. At the first use this program seem to be easy to use, and respond at my first wanted opening hxs files.

It worked for recovering my files I had a problem with an external USB drive, who lost the partition table: Linux was unable to read it when I connected the device. The program was able to get it right, examining the drive, and then it is now helping me recovering the lost files. In the end, I was very happy with the program

It worked as advertised. I had a raid-1 drive that mysteriously disappeared after a power failure. The partition table had been corrupted, not of the superblocks of the ext3 partition could be found.I could see that the data was still on the drive by accessing the raw device, but had no way to access it.No other recovery program I found was able to "find" the ext3 data structures. The demo of Stellar Phoenix was able to tell me that it could find, and thus restore my missing data.
